Students will need to meet at the Heber Springs Campus at 4:30pm on Friday and we will be departing from Camp Beaverfork by 10:00am on Sunday. We'll all meet at the Heber Springs Campus for the 11:30 service...the students are encouraged to meet us there if they can! Cost - $65 Students should sign-up with Either Lauren Stair or Jason Giles. They will be given a packet including a Parental Release Form (which will need to be signed and turned in before the Retreat begins), a tentative schedule, directions to Camp Beaverfork and a packing list when they sign-up.
YOU DON'T WANT TO MISS IT! Real Life Lock-InWell it has taken me almost a week to blog about the lock in that we had last Friday night. Maybe that is because I am just now recovering. I got to me some really cool kids, and I hope that they come back, because they definitely make the group cooler. I am still really excited about what God is doing in this group. If you are a part of RL you know what I am talking about, if you don't know what I mean. Come to Real Life on Tuesday nights. I promise that you'll never look back.
Any how back to the lock-in. It was great. I had so much fun, and I can't wait to do it all over again. Well there is a certain shirt incident that I could always forget (Thanks Rachel Q) other than that it was cool.
Now I am really excited about The Difference, Real Life's fall encounter retreat '09 is coming up...Nov13th-15th...$65... check out the event on our events page facebook or talk to me or any of our leaders. It is going to be amazing, and we get to pair up with the other campuses to do this. If you have never been to any of the encounters, you don't know what you are missing.
Well guys that is all I got.
Doing life together Jason In response to last Tuesday night.I haven't been teaching for very long at Real Life, but I can tell you this. I have seen more growth in all the students that come on Tuesdays in the last few months, than I see in many people see in their entire lifetime. This last Tuesday was no exception. When we started the service I didn't know what to expect, but I will say that it was amazing. You guys really plugged into what is truly a major problem in the world. I don't think that this world gives enough credit to this generation. What I see is a group of talented, smart, loving individuals that want to see good things happen in their lifetimes. I was so proud to have been a part of what is going on here in Heber Springs.
P.S. watch out for that cheese!!!!
Jason The first blog on the new rockin website!Well what do I say, I love where our church is right now. I feel like there is so much work to do, and we are totally gearing up to take this on. I love being youth pastor at this campus. The kids that I get to work with are a group of amazing individuals that love God. This makes my job a little easier. My wife and I could probably be the most blessed couple of people in the world. God has got some amazing things lined up. Pay attention, you are going to be amazed! |
